ASDA.com has appointed creative brand communications consultancy, Clearsilver, as an e-commerce partner to develop advertising campaigns and micro sites for its interactive website.
The Leeds and Hull based consultancy had previously developed visual effects and impacts on the site.
Clearsilver’s has previously produced promotional campaigns for brands such as the current KitKat Senses launch and others such as Unilever’s Birdseye Chicken Grills.
As well as providing ASDA.com with effects, Clearsilver has created and managed all the promotional mechanics behind each, including Pedigree’s Adoption Drive pet food competition, which allowed customers to get involved with their favourite store and brands, whilst potentially winning prizes.

THE Cutlers Hotel, in Sheffield, has become a member of Best Western International, the world’s largest hotel chain.
Over the last three years, The Cutlers Hotel, on George Street, has undergone major refurbishment, and is currently in the final phase, which includes a total makeover of all bedrooms, bathrooms, public areas and the exterior.

MARKETING agency Fantastic Media has signed a five-year deal to become the new sponsor of the former Panasonic Stand at the Galpharm Stadium, in Huddersfield
From the summer , the stand will become known as the Fantastic Media Stand, as Huddersfield Town kicks off its centenary year.
Fantastic Media, based in Birstall, has been involved with both Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants for a number of years, supplying both clubs with media and marketing collateral.

COMMUNICATIONS firm The Smart Agency has launched a new service for start-up businesses, small companies and entrepreneurs.
Called Smart Start, the Harrogate-based agency is offering small companies PR and marketing advice aimed at growing their business, together with a range of services set at prices to suit smaller budgets.
Nigel Charlesworth, a director at the company said: “We recognise there is a huge interest now in people starting their own businesses. This is due in part to TV programmes like The Apprentice and Dragons’ Den.
“Entrepreneurs are rapidly becoming the new sex symbols, moving away from the more traditional iconic movie stars and footballers.”
The company has also launched a new website that outlines the services provided and costs involved.
