THE Enterprise and Innovation Office at the University of Leeds has achieved the prestigious Customer First accreditation in just nine months.
Putting the Customer First ® is recognised as the National Standard for Customer Service, assessing excellence in the key areas of customer relationships, market and staff development.
The standard was initially developed by the Business Competitiveness Group in Yorkshire and Humber, and subsequently by the Quality Working Group, London Business Support Network.
The outcome was the development of a common quality standard to improve the customer’s experience of business support services provided by public and private organisations, demonstrating their commitment to customer service excellence and customer service focused delivery.
Standards are high, with only 25% of organisations achieving accreditation on their first attempt.
The Enterprise and Innovation Office is one of the first units within the University of Leeds to achieve the standard.
