In Brief: Gratterpalm, PPS, Jack Wolfskin, Bling Rocks

A NUMBER of students and graduates have been given the opportunity to kick-start their careers at advertising agency Gratterpalm.

The company, which is based at No.1 Leeds, has enrolled four new recruits onto its ‘G Academy’ programme.

Now in its third year, the G Academy is an extensive four week internship which runs bi-annually and gives recent graduates the opportunity to work on advertising, marketing and digital campaigns for some of the UK’s biggest names in retail, including Asda, Viking and Greggs.

Chosen from 65 applicants, the successful candidates who will work as trainee account handlers are: Victoria Cawkwell, a recent graduate from Leeds Metropolitan; Sean Featonby, an advertising and media graduate from Northumbria University; Lauren Hume, who previously worked for Jet2Holidays; and Ben Jobson, who has come from the publisher Sensis in Australia.

As well as the G Academy recruits, Gratterpalm has also taken on three placement students: Abigail Saleem, Alice Frazer and Natasha Chopra.
