Evans secures letting at Global Estate to Hisense

MORE than 3,000 sq ft of office space has been let by Yorkshire property group Evans to refrigeration appliances manufacturer Hisense.

Hisense has taken the space at Evans’s Global Estate site in Leeds.

As well as manufacturing appliances, Hisense also imports and distributes them.

Following the latest deal, Leeds-based Evans has sold or leased six of the seven office units at the 34,500 sq ft Global development, which is located next to its headquarters in Millshaw.

Catherine Godfrey, property manager with Evans, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have successfully concluded this deal with Hisense in a challenging economic climate for the property market.

“The deal underlines the popularity of our Global estate with companies and organisations wanting to own or lease buildings here.

The joint marketing agents of Global are WSB Property Consultants and Savills.

Robin Beagley, of joint marketing agents WSB, said: “2012 has proved to be a great year for Global Business Park.

“We have bucked the trend in this difficult market, successfully concluding three deals in the past 12 months.”

The occupiers at the Global estate include Secom, the Salvation Army, Mason Clarke Associates, National Holiday Company, RH Freight and Cooper Consulting.
