Leeds Bradford Airport parking pains to end

MUCH needed improvements to Leeds Bradford International Airport’s (LBIA) car parking facilities have begun at last.
Phase one of the works, which will be completed in the autumn, will include improvements for the bus and airport shuttle, a designated Arrow taxi zone and relocation of the Yorkshire Executive Club car park.
The second phase will see an enhanced rapid pick up and drop off zone, redevelopment of the short stay car park and improved pedestrian walkways.
John Parkin, chief executive of LBIA, said that the growing importance and status of the airport was an essential part of the region’s “economic vitality”.
“We are delighted that development has commenced and are very confident that these works will ensure the continued success of LBIA and provide the people of the region with an airport of which they can be proud,” he said.
“We are determined to improve the quality of services we provide to our passengers and this investment will deliver a significant enhancement to our car parking and public transport facilities.”
Work on the car park follows the airport’s announcement to invest £70m in its infrastructure, terminal building and facilities.
