KPMG announces change at the top

KPMG has announced a new senior partner in Yorkshire.

Iain Moffatt will take up the position of office senior partner in Leeds from October at the top four accountancy firm replacing Duncan Mycock who has held the role for the last seven years.

Mr Moffatt has been an audit partner at KPMG for 11 years.

During his time with the company  he has worked with some of the region’s largest and highest profile businesses, including Persimmon, Pace and Marshalls.

Since joining KPMG after graduating in 1983, he has exclusively worked with clients based in the North of England.

Mr Moffatt replaces Mr Mycock who held the role for seven years and who will remain with KPMG as a senior audit partner.

Mr Moffatt said: “I am delighted to be leading KPMG in Yorkshire and Humberside at a time when we are really in the ascendancy in the local marketplace. In common with many of our clients, we have an ambitious business plan that will require a good deal of energy to fulfil given the challenging issues all businesses are now facing. I’m confident our common sense approach of investing in our people and our capabilities as we support and help clients through more difficult times, will continue our success.”
