Yorkshire office opening for Business Growth Fund

BUSINESS Growth Fund is opening an office in Leeds as the investor looks to secure more deals in Yorkshire.

The office, located at One City Square, will be headed by investment director Richard Taylor.

BGF’s IT strategy director, Jon Eggleston, will also be based in Leeds. Mr Eggleston was formerly with Callcredit Group. 

Andy Gregory, regional director for BGF’s Northern team, said: “2012 was a good year for BGF – our first full year of operation. During 2012, we invested approximately £120m of growth capital in 21 great businesses, significantly expanding the level of investment going into the UK SME sector and highlighting that, despite challenging economic conditions, good businesses can prosper.”
