Future clear for Premier Mist
A YORKSHIRE businessman has launched a new company to pioneer innovative low pressure water mist technology for the suppression of fires which is already winning contracts with property owners.
Peter Duval has teamed up with Nick Ketteridge, a technical expert in fire suppression systems to launch Premier Mist in Wakefield, which has created 10 jobs.
Between them Mr Duval, managing director, and Mr Ketteridge, technical director, have more than 40 years’ experience in the mechanical services and fire protection industry delivering fire suppression solutions to customers across all sectors.
Mr Ketteridge was instrumental in the development of British and European standards for low pressure water mist systems as a committee member of British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association and the Fire Industry Association.
Premier Mist aims to be the leader in the development and manufacturing of water mist fire suppression systems in the UK helping to save lives and protect properties.
The company’s Dual MIST low pressure water mist system delivers fire suppression for all commercial, residential, industrial and public buildings.
Mr Duval said: “Property owners now recognise that water mist systems are more effective than traditional sprinkler systems and we believe that the Dual MIST system which we have delivered and which is patented is the most effective.
“Independent tests by authentication authorities have shown the Dual MIST system to be 100% effective in a number of fire scenarios and we are currently installing systems in a number of care and nursing homes.”
Premier Mist has designed, manufactured and installed its system in a range of properties including care homes, schools, offices and hotels.
Mr Ketteridge added: “Key benefits of the Dual MIST system are that it is more cost effective than traditional sprinkler systems and is more environmentally friendly as it requires significantly reduced water storage freeing up space inside buildings.
“The Dual MIST low pressure water mist system is ideally suited for existing properties and Premier Mist can deliver a discreet retro fitting service to ensure that all properties meet building fire regulations.”
