Engineering company steps forward with new product launch

A WATER treatment product manufacturer and supplier has stepped out of the shadows by launching its own range of chemical dosing and handling equipment.

Richard Alan Engineering (RAE), based in Dewsbury, has been manufacturing water and wastewater process equipment for some of the world’s leading chemical companies for the past 14 years and has now introduced products under their own name.

The engineering company says it has already secured multi-million pound orders from water treatment specialists that supply companies such as Severn Trent Water and Welsh Water.

RAE has also sold into the mining industry, including a copper mine operated by Glencore International in the Congo.

Robert Johnson, managing director of the Richard Alan Group, said: “We are delighted to launch this fantastic range of products. It is an exciting step for the company.”

“We have been the manufacturer behind the market leading water process equipment supplier for many years. The decision to manufacture this range of equipment will allow us to promote our own products direct to the market, passing these cost savings and efficiencies on to our customers.”

RAE offers a comprehensive range of dry and liquid chemical preparation, dosing and storage systems.

Their process equipment is custom built at its Yorkshire site and is aimed specifically at water intensive industries such as municipal drinking and waste water, paper, mining and oil.

Johnson added: “The breadth of services provided by Richard Alan Engineering offers customers a complete turn-key solution.

“This includes in-house design and manufacture of cost-effective process equipment and dosing packages and a range of preparation, make-down, batching, mixing and ageing tanks, silos, steelwork, access platforms and pipework supported by total project management.”
