City Briefs: ZOO Digital, Sirius Minerals

ZOO Digital has won a contract with a leading US trade publisher following the launch of its new Cloud-based platform ZOOcore.

Sheffield-based ZOO has licensed its workflow management platform to HBG, which releases more than 800 titles each year in the areas of adult, young readers and audio titles.

HBG said it required a system to support the preparation and conversion of electronic books and needed different parts of its business to collaborate more effectively.

“The adoption of our ZOOcore workflow management system has significantly improved the productivity of our team,” said Craig Bauer, senior vice president, publishing operations and strategic planning at HBG.”

SIRIUS Minerals today said it was encouraged by the results from a drilling project.

A core was taken and tested from the York Potash project site, which Sirius wants to develop into a  major mine, in North Yorkshire.

Chris Fraser, managing director and chief executive of Sirius, said: “This additional deflection has given us further information to improve our confidence in the geological model and early mine planning and these preliminary results provide further confirmation of the volume, quality and consistency of the York Potash polyhalite orebody.”
