Expectations met by Communisis

COMMUNISIS today said its first quarter performance had been in line with management expectations.

The Leeds-based group, which describes itself as a “leading provider of personalised customer communication services” said its services and products were continuing to prove popular in the UK.

In an interim management statement covering the first quarter ended March 31, Communisis said several of its most recently secured contracts were successfully being implemented.

It added that its international business was also expanding, particularly in the FMCG sector.

Communisis raised £20m of growth capital in the period through an equity placing, which the group said today would be used “for investment in new contracts, for restructuring costs and for small acquisitions and working capital”.

“These funds will enable the group to maintain good progress against its key strategic objectives,” it added.
