Hica to create more than 50 new jobs in West Yorkshire

MORE than 50 new jobs will be created in West Yorkshire as Hica At Home expands.

The expansion comes after the firm, which is headquartered in East Yorkshire, has seen a growing demand for domiciliary care. It will now grow its operations in the Calderdale area.

The organisation, which has become an approved provider with Calderdale Council, is initially looking to recruit 20 to 30 senior support workers and homecare workers from the Calderdale area, with the remainder due to be recruited during the next six months in line with the continued expansion of Hica’s services throughout the area.

Hica At Home’s regional office in Bradford will head up the operations in Calderdale.

Managing director Penni Brown said: “We are delighted to be expanding our operations in West Yorkshire and to be able to provide additional employment opportunities in Brighouse, Elland, Halifax, Sowerby Bridge, Hebden Bridge and Todmorden and the surrounding areas.

“All our work is aimed at enabling people to enjoy a better quality of life through supporting them to live more independently and remain in their own homes for as long as possible. As a not-for-profit organisation, all our activitities are focused on providing the best possible service to our clients.”
