Walker Morris emphasises importance of innovation category in Business Masters

INNOVATION is the foundation of commercial success, according to Business Masters Awards sponsor Walker Morris, which has emphasised the pride associated with playing a part in the occassion.

The Leeds law firm is this year’s sponsor for the Yorkshire Innovator category, which looks for the company with the most creative product, idea or original business thinking.

Walker Morris partner, Debbie Jackson, said the firm is proud to celebrate and encourage Yorkshire business success.

She said: “Finding ways to do things better or encouraging new ideas is what stands individuals and companies apart from the crowd.

“We believe Yorkshire is brimming with innovation and we’re proud to help celebrate and encourage its success.”

Ms Jackson said Walker Morris believes this category in the Business Masters is important, as it recognises that these new ideas and initiatives are vital for the region.

She said: “It celebrates the most creative product, idea or original business thinking, which fits perfectly with our own culture and belief in the importance of innovation and creativity in business.

“We’ve been delighted to see previous winners and entrants of this award often progress to enjoy even greater commercial success.

“Therefore these awards not only celebrate accomplishments of successful companies so far but also provide a spotlight on the businesses and individuals we may be seeing more of in the future.”

The Masters awards will recognise success in innovation, international trade, grit, social responsibility and leadership, while new business success will also be celebrated in the Yorkshire Newcomer award.
