The Weather Lottery launches FC Betz

THE Weather Lottery has launched its new on-line sports betting brand FC Betz.com today as the new Championship football season gets underway.

The AIM-listed company has already signed deals with four Football League clubs to become their online gaming partner and will also run club lotteries through a new FC Lotto brand.

The new website offers betting opportunities on a wide range of sporting events including Australian Rules Football, GAA sports and darts.

Lord Razzall, chairman of TWL, said: “We view the start of the season with excitement and look forward to providing gaming and lottery products to the partner clubs and the public at large.”
 
Doncaster-based TWL indicated this morning that it was continuing to negotiate similar deals beyind those already signed with Derby County, Coventry City, Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester City.

The move into online sports betting is a new direction for TWL whose core business has been a free lottery platform to help charities and other organisations raise funds.

The company saw revenues fall last year and recorded losses of £48,000.
