Business spirits high as 700 delegates ready for YIBC

THE Yorkshire International Business Convention (YIBC) 2013 takes place today with more than 700 delegates set to descend on Bridlington Spa.

YIBC 2013 boasts the line-up of former foreign secretary David Miliband, ex-CEO of Tesco Sir Terry Leahy, TV professor Brian Cox, six-time Paralympic gold medallist David Weir and globe-runner Rosie Swale Pope MBE.

The BusinessDesk.com will be publishing highlights throughout the day.

702 tickets have been snapped up by businesses from across the UK for the event, which sees the Bridlington Spa as the premier host venue for the very first time. It will once again be the finale to the always hugely successful Humber Business Week.

Paul Sewell, master of ceremonies at the YIBC 2013, said: “There are more people attending the event this year in Bridlington than were in Leeds last year to see the Dalai Lama – that is testament to the popularity of the YIBC to businesses across Yorkshire, particularly here in Hull and the East Riding.”
