THE inaugural Leeds Business Week is set to take place next month.
Dozens of organisations from across the city have joined up as event partners to organise their own business events as part of the week. Companies such as the Institute of Directors, 4Networking, Irwin Mitchell, Northern Ballet, Leeds City Council, Propaganda, Barclays and many more are all getting behind the initiative.
The event is organised by business group, The Yorkshire Mafia.
Geoff Shepherd of The Yorkshire Mafia said: “It’s our business community – we’re in it together and we should support each other. The more time businesses spend doing things together, talking to each other and opening up our networks, the better. By learning from each other, sharing content and expertise, businesses can only benefit. There are some terrific seminars, workshops and content driven events happening throughout the week – it’s something everyone should take part in.”
More than 1,000 people are already registered to attend.
Leeds City Council CEO, Tom Riordan, is backing the event. He said: “We’re delighted to support Leeds Business Week. Leeds City Council plays an important role in the city’s business community, bringing stakeholders together and providing useful signposting and support services. We’re listening to our city’s businesses and offering the real, practical support you need. Leeds Business week offers a huge event programme and we are looking forward to being involved in a number of events throughout the week.”
