Yorkshire businessman joins Harvard

A YORKSHIRE-BASED business learning and coaching consultant has been invited to take on a new role with Harvard Business School.
Russell Evans, a director of Harrogate-based Primeast, will sit on the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, which oversees the globally-renowned Harvard Business Review magazine.
Widely respected by business leaders worldwide, the journal combines academic discussion with hands-on examples of leadership practice and development.
Mr Evans was approached to join the panel after highlighting how the publication had become too US-focused and could benefit from more editorial with an EU/global context and application.
He said: “For any business, the challenge of engaging people around the world while delivering relevant local content is a tough one. As we emphasise to our clients who are seeking to bring together staff from different countries, its important that the focus is on inspiring audiences in every region and not just the places closer to home.”
From its base at Harrogate’s Greengate business park, Primeast’s ten-strong team has expanded its overseas network to encompass 40 countries over four continents.
Working with major organisations and 150 international associates, the firm delivers bespoke training and coaching to high-profile companies including NPower, National Grid, Arqiva, ExxonMobil and Virgin Media.
