Printer Horner Brothers bought by Paragon Group

YORKSHIRE company Horner Brothers Print Group has been bought by the Paragon Group a European print and document management business.

Paragon, which is privately owned and has a turnover of more than £150m, has purchased the trade and assets of Horner Brothers Print Group, the Rotherham-based printer and marketing services provider.

The company will now trade as Horner Brothers, a trading division of Paragon Group UK.

Paragon operates 10 manufacturing sites across the UK, France and Romania – including a base in Castleford – and is a global supplier of multi-channel communications, data handling, smart ticketing, identification and fulfilment services.

Paragon said the deal reinforces its current capabilities, which include a range of services such as direct mail, personalisation, marketing print, stationery, point of sale, packaging, logistics and data base management.

Ann Harrington, general manager of Paragon Group UK, commented: “The acquisition of Horner Brothers further supports Paragon’s strategy, which is to increase the range of products and services we provide to an ever increasing network of customers.”

Judith Fox, managing director of Horner Brothers, said: “We are delighted to be joining the Paragon Group. Not only will this mean that we are now a part of a strong and diverse business but also our customers can access a much broader range of services, securing the future of the business in the months and years to come.”
