Holiday village scheme planned for Yorkshire

AROUND 1,500 jobs could be created if an £80m luxury holiday village in Yorkshire is built.
Halton Homes is behind the plans for the scheme, which it wants to make a reality on a 100-acre site at Hellifield, near Settle.
The scheme, which has not yet been put in for planning, would include a 100-bed hotel, two golf courses, a swimming pool complex, holiday cottages, bars and restaurants and conference facilities.
Bingley-based Halton Homes estimates that up to 1,000 people would be employed to construct the village with a further 500 full-time staff being taken on once it is completed.
A planning application could be submitted later this year.
