Appointments: Opera North appoints head of corporate giving; New account manager for JT and more

OPERA North has appointed Jacqui Nuttal as its new head of corporate giving.

Ms Nuttall has worked for a range of public sector and private sector organisations including Financial Leeds, the London Stock Exchance, Financial Times and the Royal Opera House.

The new post is part of a wider strategy on the part of Opera North to strengthen its financial position.

Commercial director Chris Denton said: “We are thrilled by Jacqui’s arrival and her positive outlook on the current tough economic climate. It is vital that we look to the support of UK businesses to help protect the valuable work that the company produces and the new head of corporate giving is a significant step towards helping us achieve this.”

SHOWER tray manufacturer JT has appointed Caroline Schofield to its sales team as its new northern key accounts manager.

Miss Schofield, who joins Leeds-based JT from Heritage Bathrooms, will be responsible for developing accounts in the North of England and Scotland.

Sales and marketing director John Schofield said: “We are delighted to welcome Caroline to the team and look forward to her developing the business further in this key area.

“We have put a lot of effort in to creating, what we feel is, the ideal sales team for JT and have every confidence that Caroline is the final piece of this jigsaw.”

Miss Schofield’s appointment is the last in the creation of a new five-strong sales team for JT which employs 72 people.

TRAIN depot equipment manufacturer Mechan has appointed its first business development managed.

Beverley Rackham, who has a 20 year career in the rail industry, will take responsibility for further interest in the lifting and maintenance products made by the Sheffield firm.manufacturer.

Richard Carr, Mechan’s managing director, said: “Bev has a wealth of rail industry experience and is already proving to be a valuable asset to our team. We have recently expanded our depot maintenance products with the addition of various European innovations and although we enjoy an excellent reputation in the transport sector, some potential customers do not know the full extent of our range.

“With Bev’s help, we are confident we can fulfil our sales potential.”

DIGITAL agency Coolpink has promoted internally as it appoints to new directors.

Andy Park and Guy Weston will become creative director and director of strategy and planning respectively at the firm whose clients include Opera North, Warner and Weber.
