Change at the top for law firm

LAW firm Irwin Mitchell has announced that national managing partner Howard Culley, who is based in Yorkshire, is to retire from the firm.

He will relinquish his role at the end of April 2009 and will continue as a partner until at least May 2010.

During this time he will work with the board ito prepare the company for changes in the UK legal services market.

The newly elected managing partner will be announced in December this year.

Howard CulleyMr Culley has been with Irwin Mitchell since 1977.

Mr Culley, who is based in Sheffield, specialises in advising in the sports, recreation and charities sectors.

Irwin Mitchell has offices in cities including Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester and London.
