LEEDS telecoms business NGC has made its first acquisition.
The company has acquired fellow Leeds business Allied Communications for an undisclosed sum.
The business is owned by partners Nigel Adams and Dean Harrop who acquired the business eighteen months ago.
NGC provides and maintains business telephone systems, contact centres and communications services.
The company has been looking to grow organically and via acquisition and has recently moved to new offices at Thorpe Park where it has invested in a demonstration and training facility where customers can see the latest communications technology including VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) systems.
Mr Adams said the acquisition of Allied was “good fit” for the business.
Allied has been trading since 1992 in Leeds as a supplier of business telephone and data systems to organisations throughout Yorkshire .
As part of the deal Allied’s key staff will remain with the enlarged business.
Mr Adams said, “As the business continues to grow, our recent move and this customer acquisition has fitted in perfectly. Allied’s customers will continue to receive uninterrupted technical service but from an enlarged business with a greater technical resource. Since acquiring NGC in December 2006, we have been looking for another synergistic deal and we are very keen to continue to grow our customer base both organically and by further acquisition”
NGC customers include Puma UK Sportswear , Metro Rod, Superbreak Holidays and theWest Yorkshire Playhouse.
NGC has also won a number of key industry awards including Gold Business Partner status from Avaya, the world’s number one supplier of business communication systems along with awards from German IP systems leader, Swyx, for the best IP system installation at West Yorkshire based Puma UK.
