Chamber Council nominations underway

NOMINATIONS for the new intake of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Council are now underway.

Members are being invited to submit nominations ahead of the AGM on September 20.

The Chamber Council is the city’s premier group of business leaders, directing the policy of the Chamber whilst debating and articulating the views of Sheffield business in order to lobby decision-makers.

Members interested in being elected to Chamber Council for 2010-2013 need to be proposed and seconded by two other members.

The AGM, which will be held at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria in Sheffield between 3.30pm and 6 pm, will see current president Nick Tovey end his year of office.

He will be replaced by Yuri Matischen, managing director of Chapeltown-based sports and leisure company MLS.
