Commercial Property Appointments: New estimator for Shouksmiths

A round-up of the commercial property appointments.

BUILDING services engineers Shouksmiths has announced that it has appointed Philip Unwin as its new estimator in Sheffield.

Mr Unwin brings with him 33 years experience of the building services sector within the South Yorkshire area and will be providing an estimating service for the company’s clients.

Shouksmiths Sheffield has been making its mark on the region, working on a number of projects for PDR Construction, including the recent successful completion of the building services installation for a new apartment scheme at Upper Allen Street, Sheffield.

The division is also working for Watkin Jones Homes on an extensive apartment project at Edward Street in Sheffield, and for Harrisons on a multi-apartment project called Daisy Spring, again in Sheffield.

Keith Bradley, Sheffield divisional director said: “We are delighted to welcome Philip to Shouksmiths’ Sheffield Division and look forward to working with him to take the company forward. The success of our projects for decent homes and apartments has increased the demand for our services in this area, but we are also working hard to extend our penetration in other sectors including offices, warehouses and social housing.

“Philip’s skills and knowledge will greatly assist us in developing relationships with clients in these areas and I am confident that his appointment will be of great benefit to the company.”
