Creative hub gets cash injection

A COMPANY set up to help develop local creative talent is due to open in Bradford next month after receiving a £30,000 investment.
Educational music hub Factory Street Studios has used the money to fit-out the building.
The venue will house a recording studio; seven sound-proofed rehearsal rooms; an instrument repair clinic; a musical accessories shop; a relaxation area with a café and a large work area suitable for use as a performance space or an alternative venue for business functions.
Factory Street Studios received the funding from Partnership Investment Finance (PIF) – an investment fund aimed at supporting growing businesses in Yorkshire.
Amy Eden, joint owner of Factory Street Studios, said: “The PIF loan has really helped with the start-up costs of the business. The Factory Street site is a larger building than we had originally planned for which is why we needed additional capital. However the premises offer fantastic scope for development, the location is conveniently placed near the city centre and many facilities such as disabled access were already in place.
“I am really looking forward to the studios opening as my business partner and I have worked hard to develop Factory Street and we are confident it will be a great asset to the community in Bradford.”
