Cromar confident after smashing turnover target

CROMAR Building Products is confident of delivering further growth this year after exceeding its turnover target.
The company saw turnover hit £13.5m over the last 12 months, up from £10.8m the previous year.
The business, founded in 1997, has has ambitions to continue growing, increasing its profitability and develop new products to take to market.
Managing director Mike Marshall said: “Realistically we expect to achieve turnover of £15m next year as we continue with our plan of controlled growth. Over the last two years we have added a number of strings to our bow, and we intend to keep going.”
Cromar has been the only start-to-finish UK manufacturer of breathable roof underlays since 2009 and has owned the formula for a fast selling acrylic roof coating since 2002.
Mike Jackson, partner at Barber Harrison & Platt (BHP) Chartered Accountants, said: “This is a great time for Cromar. I have supported Mike Marshall in his strategy and decision making since the company’s foundation. Cromar bucked industry trends during the recession, and has continued to grow during the recovery. Now, the strength of its offering is so great that one in three roofs in the UK currently uses a Cromar product, and there’s more to look forward to as Mike continues to plan for the future through product development.”
