DBL Logistics has been unveiled as Sheffield United’s latest major sponsor.
The Sheffield-based business has agreed a two year deal to become the back-of-shirt sponsors of the Blades new adidas made home and away kits.
DBL Logistics managing director Dave Clarkson said: “This is a very proud day for me and my family to be associated with the Blades in such a significant way. The sponsorship will further enhance the profile of our business and contribute to our planned expansion.”
Blades’ Paul Reeves said: “This is another commercial boost for the Club following on so quickly from the news that adidas are our new official kit supplier.

LAW firm Ward Hadaway has advised on a £14.7m private equity investment in the mining sector.
The firm provided legal advice to West Cumbria Mining on a £14.7m investment in the company by Australian-managed private equity fund EMR Capital Resources Fund 1.
West Cumbria Mining will use the funding to support the next stage of development at its Whitehaven Coking Coal Project (WCCP), which aims to create a large-scale mining operation in the Whitehaven area.
West Cumbria Mining wants to create a large scale underground coking coal operation at the site extending offshore, with access via onshore drifts.
Funding from EMR Capital Resources, which specialises in investing in mining operations, will be used to finance an onshore and offshore drilling campaign in the coalfield and to complete a preliminary feasibility study into the plans.
Gavin Maddison, corporate partner in the Leeds office of Ward Hadaway, led the law firm’s team advising West Cumbria Mining on the investment, with support from corporate associate Catherine Hinchliffe.

EVENT services company Joe Manby has been reappointed for the tenth consecutive year by The Flooring Show.
The show, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in Harrogate last year, brings the flooring industry together for the only dedicated B2B event in the UK calendar.
Joe Manby, based is Harrogate, will provide full event services, including stand design and installation, electrics, graphics and feature areas.

PART of Sky’s digital team is moving out of Leeds to London.
Sky employs more than 1,000 people in Leeds, with just under 50 in its digital sports media division.
It is proposing to move some of this digital team to its West London headquarters, to be closer to Sky Sports production.
