Law firm triumphs in Corporate Challenge

THE team from law firm Irwin Mitchell have been crowned the winners of the Clarion Leeds 10K Corporate Challenge.

Around 800 businessmen and women took part in the popular contest, which forms part of the Asda Foundation Leeds 10K.

The challenge is open to teams of runners, with the average time of the first three team members home used to calculate the winners.

Irwin Mitchell took the trophy with a time of 39:22 – 19 seconds ahead of Appleyard Lees in second. Hays Specialist Recruitment clocked 40:40 to take third spot.

The fastest male competitor in the challenge was Hays’ Owen Beilby who came home in 35:36, while Appleyard Lees’ Sarah Dobson was the quickest female in 41:01.

Roger Hutton, senior partner at Clarion, said: “Once again the Leeds 10K Corporate Challenge attracted great support and it was excellent to see so many organisations competing to lift the fastest firm title.

“Once more everyone had a great time and we are proud to be associated with the Leeds 10K, which raises valuable funds for so many good causes.”
