Yorkshire hotel snapped up

NORTH Yorkshire’s Falcon Manor Hotel has been snapped up by James’ Places Group of Hotels and Inns.
The Grade II-listed Yorkshire Dales property in Settle was bought with an asking price of offers over £550,000.
Its previous owners, Remove Code, tried to get planning permission to turn the hotel into ten residential apartments but had its plans turned down by
Craven District Council.
The new owner is James Warburton, who owns the Lancashire-headquartered James’ Places Group. Its other properties include Mitton Hall and Eaves Hall in the Ribble Valley and The Emporium in Clitheroe.
Peter Bean, director of hotels, Colliers International, which had its Leeds office negotiate the sale, said: “The Falcon Manor is a magnificent eye-catching Jacobean style property serving the bustling market and tourist town of Settle, as well as the wider Dales community.
“The hotel has two bars, a function restaurant and 15 en-suite letting bedrooms, as well as lovely grounds with plenty of parking, making this hotel ideal as a base for touring the Dales.”
