In brief: Jet2 scoops IT award; Henderson seminar to offer advice

YORKSHIRE airline Jet2.com has scooped a highly acclaimed award at the Channel Network Awards (CNAs).

The company has been named ‘Enterprise IT Solution of the Year’ for its IT infrastructure project.

The CNAs – the Oscars of the ICT sector – are renowned for their fierce competition and Jet2.com fought off opposition from Coca-Cola, Selfridges and London Metropolitan Council.

The award, handed out at London’s Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, noted the redevelopment of the Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.com ecommerce website and the installation of a ‘green’ infrastructure that could deliver round-the-clock, resilient computing for employees and customers.

Philip Meeson, boss of Jet2.com, commented: “We are delighted to have received external recognition for this project – this transformation programme has made an immeasurable difference to our business.”
