Yorkshire retail warehouse acquired

PROPERTY investment and development company Helical Bar has snapped up a Yorkshire retail warehouse.

Helical Bar has acquired a 25,250 sq ft unit in Hookstone Chase which is let to Currys/PC World. It has also acquired a 33,323 sq ft Stockport unit, located in Stockport Road, Cheadle Heath, which is let to B&M (just assigned from Homebase) on a new 10-year lease. The acquisition, from a UK corporate vendor, was worth £12.082m.
 
Jack Pitman, investment director at Helical Bar, said: “These two retail warehouse investments represent high-quality, long-term income, and provide a good balance to our lower yielding central London holdings.”
