Thorpe Park celebrates completion

THORPE park has celebrated the completion of Lunn Ventures Group’s Centrum which marks a significant step in the development of the park.
Centrum comprises of 15,625 sq. ft of Grade A offices, a 10,000 sq. ft private medical facility, and 5,000 sq. ft of high quality retail and restaurant facilities.
The £7m scheme which was constructed by GMI, was officially launched by Sylvia Bowden, senior partner – structured property finance, of Yorkshire Bank which provided funding for the development.
The office component of the development, covering three floors, is available in sizes ranging from 4,360 sq. ft to 15,625 sq. ft on a leasehold basis and is the only new build office accommodation to be completed at Thorpe Park in 2008.
The news follows recent lettings at the development over the last four months to BAM Construction and Coors Brewery, jointly totalling 36,000 sq ft .
The restaurant, the first at Thorpe Park, will be occupied by Brio Pizza, part of the Brio restaurant chain, which currently operates four Italian restaurants in Leeds and Harrogate, with Thorpe Park scheduled to open in Spring of next year following extensive fit out works.
Philip Lunn, managing director of Lunn Ventures Group said: “The completion of Centrum is great news for Thorpe Park, which has been underserved by amenities up until now, and we wanted to launch it with an original and dynamic twist. The supercars have certainly created a buzz!
“Not only will Centrum house a state-of-the-art medical and private diagnostics facility serving the surrounding community, but it will also provide the high quality restaurant and retail facilities which are very much needed. The office premises, which are very distinctive and original in design, have already attracted a significant number of enquiries, and for good reason.”
