INDUSTRIAL property specialist Gent Visick has become the first corporate partner for Leeds Rowing Club.
 
The partnership comes about as Leeds Rowing Club are set to move into its new clubhouse in South Leeds, which is being shared with the University of Leeds. Construction was completed this month on the £1m facility, which has been part funded by the National Lottery, British Rowing, Sport England, Wren and the University of Leeds. The Canal and Rivers Trust have offered the site to the club on a long-term lease.

The rowing Club has been one of the success stories of community sport in Leeds, and we’re delighted to be involved in their future plans.”

THE Leeds office of chartered surveyors Eddisons has completed the sale of a freehold investment apartment block near Leeds city centre.

The Grange on Hough End Lane in Bramley comprises of 10 fully let one bedroom apartments, which produce annual income of £42,540.

Also included in the sale is an additional parcel of land which currently has planning permission for a detached block of two residential dwellings.

The property and land has been purchased by the Leeds & Yorkshire Housing Association off an asking price of £550,000.

Eddisons acted on behalf of the vendor, Treelark Investment Co.

By-Pass Park Estate in Sherburn in Elmet has welcomed a hat-trick of new lettings in the last month.

The estate is owned and managed by G W Sissons & Son and is one of the largest single owned industrial estates in North Yorkshire comprising 75,000 sq ft of industrial and warehouse accommodation on a site of around 16 acres.

The new tenants include regional distribution company Zenith Logistics which has taken 7,000 sq ft with an additional ½ acre of external yard area; national ground investigation company Geotechnics which has taken 4,500 sq ft on a six year term.

LED lighting suppliers Vexica which has taken 4,500 sq ft on a five year lease.

Paul Mack, head of the Yorkshire industrial and logistics team at DTZ, said: “Demand for industrial/warehouse premises in Sherburn in Elmet continues to go from strength to strength and we have witnessed an unprecedented level of interest over the last nine months. To land three companies within one month is however a fantastic result and we also have four other units under offer, leaving only one unit available.”
