MARIANNE Haworth has joined Raleys solicitors in Barnsley as head of its employment team.

Haworth will be focussing on all aspects of employment law including working with companies and employees, and she has a particular interest in disability discrimination claims.

She joins from Simpson Millar in Leeds where she advised individuals from frontline staff to senior directors, and small to medium size companies.

Having trained at Dickinson Dees in York, now Bond Dickinson, Haworth did a secondment at Leeds City Council as part of its in-house employment team before moving to Simpson Millar.

SANTANDER Corporate & Commercial has appointed Simon Heald as the new relationship director for the Doncaster area.

Based at the corporate banking centre in Doncaster, Heald will specialise in working with local businesses with an annual turnover of £2.5m to £25m and will be responsible for building new customer relationships as the bank looks to expand further into the region.

He joins a 30-strong team in South Yorkshire and Humber including sector and product specialists in Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Asset, Invoice and Trade Finance.

Heald previously worked for Royal Bank of Scotland Group and has 25 years of experience working in the region.

YORK -based health provider Benenden has recruited Sonia Hudson as head of HR and organisational development.

She will lead the organisation’s HR team based in York, managing the development of HR strategy and organisational development throughout the business.

Hudson brings a wealth of experience to the role with more than 16 years working within organisational development and business change roles, including most recently as the group OD manager for CPP.

Prior to this, she worked within Npower in the roles of OD strategy manager and business change manager.
