The-Acey.com moves from web to the high street

A FASHION entrepreneur who was born and raised in East Yorkshire has launched a shop in Hull to complement her website.

Founded by Holly Allenby, The-Acey.com stocks a range of “consciously created” clothing that’s sourced from London to Los Angeles and Canada to Katmandu.

It has now opened a shop in The Bloc, in Anlaby.

Holly Allenby, who was born and raised in West Hull, previously worked as marketing manager for shoe company Toms before deciding to launch her own company.

She said: ““Whilst working at TOMS I was repeatedly asked: ‘Where can I buy responsibly-made clothing without sacrificing style?’

“I struggled to answer so started to research sustainable style.

“After an extensive hunt, I discovered some incredibly innovative, unheard-of brands, which I couldn’t believe weren’t available to women worldwide.
“This led me to create The-Acey, a destination for brands that are pioneering a new way of doing business better.”

Each label stocked by The-Acey is committed to reducing and improving their social and environmental impact.

Inspired by Wholefood’s concept of informing customers on where their products are from, THE-ACEY highlights the story of their brands online, detailing information on the founder, where the raw materials are sourced from and where the products are manufactured.
