Property consultants expand with two acquisitions

PROPERTY consultancy Carter Jonas has acquired two Cambridge businesses as part of its continued expansion.
Carter Jonas, which has four offices in the region at Leeds, York, Harrogate and Boroughbridge, has bought commercial and planning consultants Januarys and residential sales and lettings agency Bradshaws, which are both part of the New Square Holdings Group.
Mark Granger, the Yorkshire-based chief executive of Carter Jonas, said: “This latest deal firmly establishes Carter Jonas as a market leader in the East of the country at a time when the area continues to attract investors and multi-national companies to its thriving economy.”
The acquisition, effective from 30 January 2015, follows the acquisition of London-based Planning Perspectives in 2013.
Carter Jonas, which manages a million acres of farmland nationally of which more than 170,000 acres are in Yorkshire, has a turnover of £34.2m.
