Appointments: Barclays; Hentons; The Art House; Diva Telecom

BARCLAYS Corporate has announced three new promotions to the Yorkshire team.
 
Tom Mason, Pete Wilmer and Sam Drummond have all been appointed directors. Drummond and Mason will both be based at the Leeds office and Wilmer at the Sheffield office.

ACCOUNTANCY firm Hentons has strengthened its tax advisory team in Leeds.

The firm says that as the economy recovers more businesses are seeking advice to manage their tax burden to free up cash and facilitate expansion.

Hentons has promoted Simon Roberts to tax planning manager and Gary Olding to tax compliance manager. It has also appointed Peter Early to assist the tax advisory team.

THE Art House, Wakefield, has announced the appointment of Stuart Tulloch as chief executive.
 
Tulloch joins The Art House from his position as Curator at Ikon, the contemporary arts venue based in Birmingham.

He said: “My interest in the role at The Art House stemmed from the fundamental reason why I work in the visual arts: to support artists to think ambitiously and make excellent things happen.  I look forward to contributing to the organisation’s continued success and to conceive and lead ambitious plans for its future.  I want to build upon The Art House’s founding principle to be a champion of diversity and attract an even wider audience to its programmes.”

THE growth in SMS texting as a business tool has led Leeds company Diva Telecom to take on a new marketing manager to boost its 10-strong team.
 
Hannah O’Sullivan joins the independent company to market online sales of SMS texting, audio conferencing and international inbound numbers.

Ms O’Sullivan has previously led marketing operations at Bradford lift agents, Short Lifts, and Huddersfield financial compliance service provider, SimplyBiz.
 
Her new role will also see the introduction of Diva Telecom as exhibitor to a number of trade shows including Harrogate’s Convergence Summit North in March.
 
She said: “I’m really excited to apply my skills and experience to the telecoms industry and even more so to be working with such a dynamic company as Diva.”
