Stage set for 2015 Business Masters

THE excellence, entrepreneurship, growth and enterprise in the region’s corporate community is set to be celebrated later this week at TheBusinessDesk.com’s Business Masters.

For 2015 there are a number of new categories, including awards for successful performance by businesses with a public listing, and for businesses running Apprenticeship schemes.

Our popular Yorkshire Manufacturer and Exporter categories are split into two to reward both SMEs and larger businesses and the other new award is for the Fast Growth Business, alongside the Pride, Innovator, Newcomer and Ambassador categories.

The winners will be unveiled at a black tie dinner at The Queens Hotel in Leeds on Thursday, hosted by BBC journalist Damian Johnson.

Alex Turner, editor of TheBusinessDesk.com and chairman of the judging panel, said: “With the economy showing some signs of improving, our region’s businesses have been innovating and investing to make themselves the best they can be.

“The quality of the entries for the 2015 Business Masters is testament to the resilience and the ambition that is being shown.

“It is not always easy to find the time to reflect on achievements, which makes this year’s Business Masters important as we acknowledge the hard work and skill that goes into creating Yorkshire’s economic and business successes.”

The judges were stockbroker Keith Loudon, the Redmayne-Bentley senior partner who took home the Yorkshire Ambassador award at TheBusinessDesk.com’s Masters in 2013, Alan Paterson, sales and marketing director of 2013 Exporter winner Premier Farnell, the deputy agent for the Bank of England for Yorkshire and the Humber, Will Holman, UKTI regional director for Yorkshire and Humber Mark Robson, and Daniel Gill from Dine Events, a previous winner of the Yorkshire Pride category.
