THE development of a £100m leisure, entertainment and sporting destination is Huddersfield’s exciting opportunity that will be showcased at MIPIM.

Finding a modern hotel operator to plug a gap in the town’s offer is a key part of the 54-acre scheme, which is part of the John Smith’s Stadium complex.

The plans for HD One include a snow sports centre, music venue, retail, restaurants, a casino and a 150-bedroom hotel.

Outline planning permission is in place, and the land is in single ownership.
