DRYDENSFAIRFAX has appointed two compliance heads to lead the upcoming regulatory responsibilities for the business.

Jo Pearson joins from Hoist Finance UK where she was head of compliance and Risk. Solicitor Gurchan Jandu joins from an equity partner role and more recently as head of risk and compliance at a leading regional law firm.

Jo will be responsible for governance and oversight of all FCA regulated activity and will lead a team of compliance specialists, whilst Gurchan will focus on all matters relating to the firm’s SRA regulatory responsibilities.

Corinne Travis of Knight FrankProperty consultancy Knight Frank has appointed Corinne Travis to its valuation team.

Ms Travis joins the firm from Sanderson Weatherall in Leeds after six years in their valuation and corporate recovery divisions.

Paul Hallam, head of the valuations team in Leeds said: “Corinne is a valuable addition to our team.

“She will be undertaking valuations of commercial property across all sectors and her expertise and experience will help with the continued expansion of the department.”

Recruitment firm Sellick Partnership has appointed Nick Harthill to its personal injury (PI) practice division in the North West and Yorkshire.

Mr Harthill was previously a personal injury team manager at Trade Union Legal LLP, and is a qualified chartered legal executive working with clients across the regions.

Nick will be joining a team headed by associate director, Amy Bullock, to focus on developing the Sellick Partnership brand within the PI specialism across the North West and Yorkshire in the permanent practice market.

Ms Bullock said: “Over the years Nick has developed a solid reputation in the PI market, and boasts a number of transferable skills that will allow him to really add value to our client base.

“The fact that he has not lost a trial in ten years, and has always been actively involved in his previous employers in-house recruitment provides a solid grounding for his career at Sellick Partnership.

“His approach and market knowledge will enable us to widen our scope and really strengthen our brand within the PI practice market – playing a key part in supporting our growth plans for the future.”
