Awards: NatWest, LCF Law, The Black Swan

THE best business bank accolade at the Downtown in Business Awards has gone to NatWest .

Mark Winters, NatWest regional managing director Business Banking North, said: “We are delighted to have been named Best Business of the Year at the Downtown Business Awards.

“We are committed to working with a range of businesses and enterprises in the Leeds region who play a vital role in local economy. We have a team of dedicated relationship managers who are accredited by the Chartered Banker Institute who can support customers across a range of sectors.”

Applications are also being taken are being taken for the Entrepreneurial Spark hatchery which is opening in Leeds later this summer in partnership with NatWest.

The accelerator hub will house up to 80 entrepreneurs selected to join the programme.

An associate solicitor at LCF Law has scooped the ‘Young Professional of the Year’ award at the annual Enfranchisement and Right to Manage Awards (ERMAs).

Harriet Thornton specialises in leasehold property and was the only candidate from the North to make the list of six.

The Black Swan in Helmsley has won the Hotel of the Year award at Visit York’s Tourism Awards. 

 Held at the National Railway Museum, the awards celebrated the best of the city’s hospitality industry.

Kate McMullen, head of consumer products and marketing at Make It York, said: “For our tourism sector to be successful, York needs exceptional people and this is what these awards recognise and celebrate.

“We’re delighted the standard of entries was higher than ever and congratulate all of our deserving winners and finalists.’
