Britvic’s £7m investment to create 40 jobs

BRITVIC, the soft drinks producer, has begun work on a £7m construction project that will create 40 jobs at its Bramley site near Leeds.

HCM Projects, part of Harris Construction Management will “substantially” increase its production facility, and bring staff numbers to over 200.

Britvic’s factory and warehouse mixes J2O for the domestic and international markets, and HCM has been appointed to provide a new water treatment plant.

Jason Adlam, chief executive of Harris Construction Management (HCM) Limited, said: “We are delighted to have secured this contract, which will further enhance HCM Projects’ reputation for the delivery of projects in the Commercial and Distribution Sector.

“Whilst we operate throughout the UK, it’s always great to be working on high profile sites close to our Yorkshire base.”

John Marshall, project engineer at Britvic says: “We’re delighted this work is now underway, that will enable us to significantly expand our workforce and will create one of the most advanced bottling plants in Europe.

“HCM immediately understood our requirements and has a wealth of experience and an impressive track-record working on similar large-scale projects on live sites, which made them the ideal company for us to work with.”
