Property in brief: Wykeland Group, Keepmoat, Eddisons

THE Centre for Digital Innovation in Hull has secured its first office tenant.
The landmark offices from Hull-based commercial developer Wykeland Group are the flagship site at the major regeneration scheme @TheDock at Hull’s Fruit Market and Central Dry Dock area.
A hardware and software developer, the Escada Group, will be leasing a 2,000 sq ft unit on the second floor of the 23,000 sq ft office building.
The developers are trying to encourage technology and digital startups to the site.
Gavin Bushby, founder and chairman of the Escada Group, which has production facilities in Malton, Scarborough and Atlanta in the USA, said: “As part of our company strategy, our vision is to create a more corporate-focused company with an emphasis on product and systems innovation and safeguarding the future success, expansion and stability of the Escada Group.
“We feel by moving our corporate headquarters to C4DI we can achieve our vision and much, much more.”
John Connolly, managing director of C4DI Ltd, the innovation and workspace management company said: “The move reflects the benefits of the knowledge, connectivity, infrastructure and support available to fast-growing technology businesses that we have here in Hull.”

Keepmoat Property Services has launched its Kick Start Programme for residents of the Swarcliffe housing estate in north Leeds which will provide skills and work experience to residents.
The programme will offer certified training in painting and decorating, joinery, basic plumbing and plastering.
Julie Baker, community liaison manager Keepmoat Property Services Ltd, said: “We are delighted to announce the launch of the partnership with Yorkshire Housing. We have already seen great interest in this from people in the local area.
“The programme has been designed to help Yorkshire Housing prepare local residents for a job in the industry. Once complete, we will be able to point them in the right direction and offer further support with the next steps in finding work.”
The programme supports Yorkshire Housing’s goal of supporting 1,000 customers into work, training, self employment or apprenticeships over the next three years.

Building contractor HB Projects has agreed terms on a further 1,900 sq ft at the Euroway Office Park in Bradford.
Already occupying one unit on Roydsdale Way, the new lease will bring their total site to 5,000 sq ft off an asking rent of £11 per sq ft.
On behalf of Overland Developments, the Bradford office of chartered surveyors Eddisons completed the deal.
Eddisons is also marketing 2,550 sq ft at Beech House with joint agent Carter Towler.
Shazad Mahmood, associate director at Eddisons said: “This is a high quality development in a strategic location within the M62 motorway corridor and benefits from excellent parking facilities. It should appeal to a range of potential tenants.”
