Appointments: Harvard Engineering, Henderson Insurance Brokers and more

HARVARD ENGINEERING, manufacturers of lighting solutions, has appointed Paul Hussey as the firm’s chief executive officer. 

He joins from Strix Ltd where he led the private equity-backed firm, and has also held senior positions at global brands Danaher Corp, Honeywell and Allied Signal.

SENIOR broker Neil Whitley has been appointed at Henderson Insurance Brokers Hessle office.

He will join the commercial team after working in the construction, property, engineering and manufacturing sectors in Hull and East Yorkshire for 38 years.

Chris Harvey, director at the Hessle office, said: “We are fortunate to have Neil join our team. He is personable, has a great work ethic and will be able to give our clients the very best customer service.”

Mr Whitley said: “Over the years I’ve learnt that there is only one way to do it – the right way – which is how I like things to be done. I want to make sure that clients come away thinking that they have had the very best customer service possible.”

BUSINESS unit controller Catherine Fay has joined Calbee UK, which is pressing ahead with plans to achieve a £65m sales target in the next five years.

Ms Fay has previously worked at Norwegian blended cheese firm Norseland, a £52m turnover firm.

NORTH YORKSHIRE’S Mulgrave Properties has hired Lynn Pymm as sales manager across all its development sites.

Ms Pymm joined the Easingwold-based firm after working in new homes sales for eight years, most recently at Mandale Homes.
