Safestyle UK shines through with record market share

WINDOW retailer Safestyle UK has made “pleasing” progress in the first half of the year, growing its market share to record levels.

The Bradford company’s market share reached 9.5% and revenues are expected to be up to £74m from £69.2m in the same period to June 30 in 2014.

The firm said this positive outlook was due to came as a result price increases introduced in January, as well as “encouraging” early evidence from the firm’s conservatory refurbishment launch.

Despite these increased prices, order intake grew by 7.1% in the first half of the year though they are monitoring reports that the window market had contracted.

Safestyle UK’s chief executive Steve Birmingham, said: “Trading in the first half has been good, showing growth against a very robust comparable period in 2014, especially the first quarter.
” With our strong order intake and growth in market share, we are well placed to continue our recent progress and we look forward to the second half with confidence.”
