Shortlists announced for star-spangled CIPR Awards
THE shortlist of potential winners at the 2015 CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards have been announced.
The awards aim to recognise the crème de la crème of the region’s public relations teams and individuals.
The shortlist was broadcast live across Twitter for the first time in the awards’ history, and shortlisted campaigns are diverse, from showers to selfies, with agency Umpf topping the bill with nine nominations in seven categories.
Other firms shortlisted include Acceleris, The Right Agency and Cream. Finn, Approach PR and Aberfield Communications also make the list of top-level public relations firms.
From inhouse, Nisa Retail, Northern Powergrid and the Department for Work and Pensions have also been announced as potential winners.
Paul Amourdedieu MCIPR, chairperson of the CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire group and Senior Manager at TD Direct Investing, said: “I’m hugely proud of the diversity in PR and marketing communications we are offering as a region.
“The quality and standard of entries from both agency and in-house teams continues to improve – reflecting our growing position as a center of excellence for public relations.
“This years’ awards ceremony intends to match the entries in both quality and sophistication. For the first time we will be hosting the event at Aspire in Leeds, with a splendid menu prepared by BBC Masterchef finalist and head chef, Tom Rennolds and we’re promised some spectacular entertainment! I look forward to celebrating in style as we find out who takes the Gold Awards at the Pride Awards Dinner in November.”
Guests will again gather in Leeds for this year’s event where leading talent will be recognised in categories including ‘outstanding consultancy’ and ‘outstanding young communicator’.
The results of the 2015 CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards will be announced at a black-tie awards night on Thursday 26 November 2015 at Aspire, Leeds. Tickets are now available via the website.
