Appointments: The P&A Group, Sheffield United Ltd

INDEPENDENT professional services group The P&A Partnership has added to its team with the hiring of Craig Atkinson has divisional director of asset recovery.

Mr Atkinson will develop new and existing business opportunities after joining from Richmonds Solicitors in 2002 as an assistant solicitor and rose through the ranks to partner level.

He ran his own practice, CA Law for five years.

Mr Atkinson said: “Having known and worked with P&A for a number of years I am delighted to now become part of the team.

“I look forward to building on the success of our asset team, using my experience as a lawyer to help clients manage risk and maximise returns.”

Jeremy Priestley, managing director of P&A said: “His wealth of experience in business development will allow him to build upon the success of P&A’s Field and Asset Recovery team, helping it to grow even further.

“So far, 2015 has been a fantastic year for P&A and I believe Craig will be a great addition to help carry this success further!”

THE board of Sheffield United Ltd has been boosted with the appointment of Martin Green to work on non-match day activities.

Businessman Mr Green is the managing director of entertainment and pub industry operator Redtooth.

Sheffield United co-owner Kevin McCabe said: “We are delighted that Martin has accepted our offer to join the board of SUL.

“He has a great track record in the world of leisure and entertainment as well as organising events where last year he led the organisation of the club’s 125th high profile celebration dinner at Ponds Forge which attracted more than 1,200 people and guests, former players and was recognised as one of the best events of its kind.

“Martin’s creative abilities will bring much needed change to what and how we do things, making the best use of our superb facilities,” added Kevin.

Martin said: “As a Blade through and through I am delighted to take up this opportunity to make a real difference to United. There is terrific potential to take the club to a different level in terms of events here at Bramall Lane as well as Shirecliffe and Crookes

“I will be working with the club’s executive team, directors and owner to drive forward a new era at Bramall Lane.”
