Former teacher’s education software firm sees Grade A sales growth

EDUCATIONAL software developer Formative Data Systems has is on a mission to grow, after international partnerships boosted the firm’s presence and sales growth.
Sales for online data tracking and assessment for schools and nurseries increased 220%, in two months.
The company has expanded its sales and training team with the appointment of three new consultants and is in the process of moving to new Bradford premises to accommodate its eight-strong team for future growth.
Founded in 2012 by former Bradford deputy head teacher, Scott Parkin, the firm is expecting to reach £500,000 turnover by 2016.
New Zealand-born Mr Parkin created a software tool that allows nurseries and schools to track the progress and development of students from birth to 11 years.
Strategic partnerships mean the firm’s technology is now used in Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Dubai, Malaysia and Thailand and in 147 pre-school settings and more than 300 schools in the UK.
