ILKLEY-BASED Approach PR and Filmore and Union are collaborating on ‘Get Ilkley Walking’ – the latest drive to encourage local employees to take part in an outdoor activity during the working day on behalf of Heart Research UK (HRUK).
A one hour walk filled with healthy refreshments will also be served up to all attendees on arrival back. Filmore and Union, which opened at the former Martha and Vincent site this week, will be supplying fresh remedy juices, super seed bars and gluten free wraps.
‘Get Ilkley Walking’ will commence at 12pm on 16 September from the bandstand on The Grove. HRUK will also have its own stand hosted by mascot, Hartley, with opportunities to take a #HealthySelfie as well as finding out more about supporting the charity.
Founder of Filmore and Union, Adele Carnell said: “Our larder of healthy snacks and energy-boosting smoothies are the perfect accompaniment to a heart pumping lunchtime walk so we’re really looking forward to refreshing Ilkley’s businesses and residents while supporting such a worthy cause.”
Managing director of Approach PR Suzanne Watson said: “We are really excited to be putting on this unique Ilkley event and want to encourage local businesses to get behind our fundraising drive and increase their heart rates during lunch hour.”
