Carillion promises 120 jobs for Sheffield

CONSTRUCTION firm Carillion is creating 120 jobs in Sheffield as it expands its Customer Experience Centre.

The firm is opening a second operational floor as part of a plan to expand the centre.

Carillion already employs 180 people at their Broad Street West site.

The CEC provides facilities management, contact centre, social media and administrative support services to more that 100 of Carillion’s clients across the globe.

New client work and the consolidation of existing work into the CEC has required it to expand.

The CEC now serves clients including Arqiva, Barts Health NHS Trust, British Transport Police, Centrica, Direct Line Group, IKEA, Nationwide Building Society, NHS, the National Offender Management Service executive agency of the Ministry of Justice, The Royal Bank of Scotland and Virgin Media.

Richard Howson, Carillion chief executive said: “The development of our Customer Experience Centre is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of our people who work here. The high quality service they provide to our customers is helping us retain clients and win new business, enabling us to create more jobs in Sheffield.”

Jamie McDonald, customer experience director said: “I’m incredibly proud of our expanding team in Sheffield. Over the last year they’ve delivered exceptional service through over one million calls, emails, tweets and posts, and by putting our customers first they have demonstrated how we’re helping to make tomorrow a better place.

“Sheffield is a perfect environment for the CEC as a great city with great people. Continuing to invest in the city and our team is key to our plans.”
